Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly blog group that comes together to discuss that week's topic. The idea was first curated by the wonderful Lainey at GingerReadLainey and is now run by Samantha over on ThoughtsonTomes.
If you wish to participate, either on your Blog or Booktube channel then, please, join the group on Goodreads for all the relevant topics.
Preface: this was last weeks topic (August 1st), but I was on holiday last week and I really like this topic! I couldn't think of any books for this weeks topic, either, so here we are.
1. Classic Who
We all know of my great love of the RTD era of Doctor Who, but its rare for me talk about Classic Who. Who knows why? I think I just need a rewatch, rediscover old companions, and really work out my favourite Classic Who Doctor. (I'm still turning between Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker and Sylvester McCoy).
2. His Dark Materials
Philip Pullman
Will I ever get around to rereading this trilogy? I feel like the answer is no and I should just pick up La Belle Sauvage, although my stubborn bones continue being the biggest pain in the ass.
3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Hey, Netflix UK?
Will you please put Buffy back onto your wonderful website so I can finally do a full rewatch, whilst I'm at Uni? Like seriously. PLEASE. (Also if someone could cancel that ridiculous reboot - cheers, thanks.)
4. Temeraire
Naomi Novak
I read this on the tail end of 2015? and loved it. I really want to return to the series and to do so, with my ditsy brain, would mean to reread book one. Not complaining really, just waiting for the right mood.
5. The Night Circus
Erin Morgernstern
I put this in my top 10 books of all time, but have only ever read it the once. It was beautiful and seductive; it's just a shame that I can barely remember any specificities about the plot and quotes.
