As you can see, I am back to trying to learn Welsh. Slowly, and piece by piece. Can you tell I miss being at University, already?
Last month was an incredibly successful reading month, but you'll have to wait until later this week to find out all the details. Instead, this post is all about the books I am planning on reading in September.
I want to take it easy this month and try not to overwhelm myself, as August was intense and has left me feeling lost in a sea of books. So, keeping it simple, I will be selecting a book a week, equating to four books. Then I'll mention a couple of books that I had yet to finish at the end of last month.

A spoiler for my August book haul, but as a graduation present for myself, I replaced my copies of the first three Harry Potter books. I did own them, but they were part of the collection of books I lost a couple of years ago. It's been that long since I reread Chamber of Secrets.

This book was recently highlighted in my first First Line Friday. I was in the privileged position to receive an ARC, but haven't found the time to read it, as I have been prioritizing my backlist titles.

The wonderful Jenn, who blogs at Jenniely.com, sent me a free audiobook copy of The Wicked King. I've been meaning to pick this up for a while and I'm just in the mood for something angsty and fae. So this one gets an automatic pass onto this month's TBR.

I've heard a lot of buzz around this one, and at first, I didn't pay much attention to it, letting the hype do its thing. Yet, when I found a copy in my local library, I nabbed it and brought it home with me (of course, I checked it out and then took it out with me). It's due back mid-way through this month, so I should really get to it soon.

This one of two final exams that I had to take for the NEWTs Readathon, but ended up deciding that it wasn't worth the stress of trying to blitz through it and resulting in not enjoying the story. I will be finishing it this month.
OK so I have only read one of these, but I absolutely LOVED A Curse So Dark and Lonely.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your TBR and learning Welsh!

Thanks Cora! It's the next one I'll be picking up.
